Keep a Medicine Chart: Never Miss a Dose Again!

Over the last three months, I've had kids on antibiotics five separate times--sometimes they were overlapping.  It's almost impossible to keep up with all of it.  Who needs her meds once a day?  Who needs it twice a day?  When did she start taking it again??  When is it time to stop taking it?  Did my husband give her the medicine already that day?!  And so on... it's practically a full-time job to keep them properly medicated without messing up and missing a dose!

My husband and I finally got smart a few years back.  We now keep a chart in our kitchen where it's visible, and we check off each dose.  That way I always know if my husband gave our daughter her meds, and vice versa.  We're also less likely to forget a dose because the chart is staring us in the face.  We know exactly when she started taking it, and we know exactly on which day she's done.  When your child is sick (or you're sick!), you just want to knock it out in a hurry--and the best way to do that is to take your medicine exactly as prescribed, with no missed doses.

Now I just have my fingers crossed that our baby doesn't get yet another ear infection soon, or we're going to be looking at tubes for one more daughter--ugh!
